Brooks Macdonald has expanded its Executive Committee with two senior appointments, reinforcing its focus on distribution and people strategy.
Neil Cowell joins as distribution director, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in UK financial services, while Debbie Dalzell has been appointed as chief people officer to lead the firm’s talent and culture initiatives.
CEO Andrea Montague said the appointments will “strengthen our leadership across key areas of the business” as the company pursues its strategy to “reignite growth”.
She added: “Neil’s IFA-centric distribution focus and proven track record will enhance our support for the adviser community.
“Debbie’s significant industry experience in cultural transformation will ensure we are well positioned for the future.”

Cowell, who previously led UK distribution at Vanguard Investments UK, said he is “delighted to be joining the Brooks Macdonald team”.
He added: “Over more than three decades, Brooks Macdonald has established itself as a trusted partner within the adviser community.

Dalzell, who most recently headed global HR at GAM Investments, said she is “excited to join Brooks Macdonald at a time of great opportunity”.

Cowell will take up his role on 25 February, with Dalzell joining on 3 March.
